Sereno's Family House
Drawing for a family home in central plot of the quiet village of Santo Amaro de Oeiras, once the site of summer vacation, it still retains that special atmosphere. The new building is very close to a villa of the early XX century and it was a concern of ours , to maintain a balance between the two buildings, creating an appropriate volume ratio and a deployment on the ground that would ensure minimal interference between the two dwellings. The end result integrates nicely in the particular environment of the neighborhood but with a markedly contemporary model.
Desenho para uma casa familiar, num lote central da tranquila vila de Santo Amaro de Oeiras, outrora local de férias estivais, que mantém ainda essa atmosfera especial. A nova construção está muito próxima de uma moradia do início do séc.XX e foi uma preocupação nossa, manter um equilíbrio entre os dois edifícios, criando uma relação volumétrica adequada e uma implantação no terreno que garantisse uma interferência mínima entre as duas habitações. O resultado final integra-se bem no ambiente particular do bairro mas com um modelo marcadamente contemporâneo.
